Description
Creamy white flower sits on a tall stalk and I finally learned it's a Yellow Wild Iris. These are growing in the medians of our neighborhood in Central Texas and, while interesting from a distance, they are really beautiful close up. The flowers are a little over 2" wide. They have many other names: Yellow Wild Iris, African Iris , Fortnight Lily, Peacock Flower, Poublom, and one website says they originated in Africa.
