We were going out to Hippie Hollow on Lake Travis, back in the 70's, and we stopped to change the baby's diaper. I'd been wanting to try different things with my graduation present (a Pentax 35mm camera from my husband) and I thought I'd try capturing a moving object at a slow shutter speed. It's amazing that it only took about 4 vehicles going by before I got the hang of snapping the picture at the right time and that last vehicle was this red pickup carrying a yellow canoe.
My mother was an avid and excellent photographer and excelled at capturing moments in our lives. I'm happy if I take a good picture of something, usually in nature, that I find beautiful or interesting.
